This tutorial will guide you through the process of uploading videos to the Sask DLC YouTube Channel. Remember, course videos should be set to "Unlisted," while promotional videos should be set to "Public."

Step 1: Sign in to the Sask DLC YouTube Channel


1. Go to YouTube: Open your preferred web browser and navigate to YouTube.
2. Sign in: Click on the "Sign In" button at the top right corner and log in using the Sask DLC credentials.

  • Your account will need to be granted permission to publish videos to the Sask DLC YouTube channel.

3. Click on your account icon in the top right corner, select "Switch Account", and choose the Sask DLC YouTube Channel.

Step 2: Access the YouTube Studio

1. Open YouTube Studio: After signing in, click on your profile icon in the top right corner and select "YouTube Studio" from the dropdown menu.

Step 3: Upload Your Video

1. Click on the "Create" Button: In the top right corner of the YouTube Studio, click the "Create" button, then select "Upload videos."
2. Select Your Video File: Click "Select Files" and choose the video file from your computer that you wish to upload.

  • For Course Videos: Select "Unlisted." This ensures that only people with the link can view the video.
  • For Promotional Videos: Select "Public." This makes the video visible to everyone.

   
2. Additional Settings: Adjust other settings like "Age restriction" or "Comments" based on the video’s requirements.

  • Unless the video topic is inappropriate, set the age restriction to "For kids"


Step 6: Add to a Playlist

1. Choose a Playlist: If your video is part of a course or specific category, add it to an existing playlist or create a new one.

  • For example, if you are uploading a video for Math 10, search for Math 10 and add it to the playlist
  • Videos can be in multiple playlists.


Step 7: Publish Your Video

1. Review Settings: Double-check that all the details are correct.
2. Visibility Settings:

  • For course videos, publish as "Unlisted."
  • For promotional videos, publish as "Public".
